It stepped out upon a great heavenly reef,
And surveyed the vastness that was beyond my belief.
The heavens rolled back and stretched far as time,
And the darkness was heavy for suns did faintly shine.
As I looked on this scene there appeared before me,
A sphere of small size upon that great sea.
Then I looked on that sphere and saw what lived there,
And I marveled and wondered how something so small
Could live at all.
