LASAGNA ala EASY
INGREDIENTS
9-11 lasagna noodles.
1 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef.
1 pound grated cheddar cheese.
1 pound small curd cottage cheese.
1 jar (27-30 oz). favorite spaghetti sauce.
1/2 cup ketchup.
1/2 - 3/4 cup water.
Salt and pepper to taste.
2 - 3 bay leaves.
Oregano if desired.
INSTRUCTIONS
Use one 3 qt. or larger cooking pot:
:: Brown ground beef in the pot - salt and pepper to taste - drain and discard grease.
:: When meat is completed, place the following with the meat in cooking pot and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes:
:::::: Add spaghetti sauce.
:::::: Add ketchup.
:::::: Add water.
:::::: Add bay leaves.
:::::: Add oregano to taste if desired.

Assemble using a 9 x 13 baking pan (glass, ceramic or stainless steel preferred):
Remove the bay leaves from the sauce.
NOTE -- DO NOT pre-cook the lasagna noodles - trust me, it works.
:: Place a layer of the sauce in the bottom of the baking pan (1/2 cup) - spread evenly.
:: Cover bottom of pan with 3 lasagna noodles - cover completely by using parts of another noodle if necessary.
:: Layer 1/3 of remaining sauce over the noodles.
:: Layer 1/2 of cottage cheese over the sauce.
:: Layer 1/3 of grated cheddar cheese over cottage cheese and sauce.

:: Place a second layer of noodles over the sauce - cover completely as before.
:: Layer 1/2 of remaining sauce over the noodles.
:: Layer remaining cottage cheese over the sauce.
:: Layer 1/2 of remaining cheddar cheese over cottage cheese and sauce.

:: Place a third layer of noodles over the sauce - completely cover as before.
:: Layer remaining sauce over noodles making sure all noodles are covered.
:: Layer remaining cheddar cheese over the sauce.

Place in a pre-heated 350 degree oven.
Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
